2 Vacancies for Network and Security Support Technicians

Movitel S.A, the Information Technology Department, is recruiting 02 Network and Security Support Technicians for the area.

You will be responsible for providing advanced technical support focused on network infrastructure, system administration, and security enforcement.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide first and second level technical support for internal IT and network infrastructure,

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switching and routing environments,

• Support network deployment activities, including installation and configuration of network devices,

• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability,

• Apply system security policies, including access control, patch management, and security hardening,

• Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities,

• Support firewall, VPN, and network security configurations,

• Work closely with Network and Infrastructure teams on optimizations and updates,

• Document configurations, procedures, and technical solutions,

• Proactively identify risks and recommend improvements to network and system security.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields,

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network support, or system security,

• Solid knowledge of switching and routing (VLANs, TCP/IP, routing protocols),

• Hands-on experience with network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls),

• Knowledge of the Linux operating system,

• Basic knowledge of network security (firewalls, VPNs, access control),

• Understanding of system security hardening and patch management,

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

• Ability to work under pressure and in operational environments.

Desirable:

• CCNA or equivalent certification (Routing and Switching),

• Basic cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CEH or similar),

• Experience in network deployment projects,

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds),

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python) is a plus,

• Knowledge of Windows Server environments,

• Technical English (reading and communication),
