Action Contre La Faim (ACF), an international humanitarian organization founded in 1979 and recognized as a public utility, operates in 47 countries in the areas of nutrition, health, food security, water, sanitation and mental health. For its operation in Pemba, Mozambique, ACF is looking for a senior professional for the position of Audit, Risk & Conformity Manager, with a fixed-term contract of 6 months, immediate availability and a gross remuneration of 172,652.00 Mtn, in addition to the 13th month paid in December, health insurance (including partner and children) and 2 days of vacation paid by month. What the role involves
As an Audit, Risk & Conformity Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all internal processes of ACF in Mozambique are in compliance with the organization's standards, donors and the law. Its main missions include:
Analysis and verification of internal controls: reviewing records, financial reports and management practices to identify inconsistencies and non-conformities, proposing recommendations and monitoring their implementation.
Coordination of internal and external audits: preparing the audit calendar, preparing the necessary documentation with department heads, and ensuring monitoring of recommendations.
Risk management and fraud prevention: ensure ACF's zero tolerance policy, identify fraud and corruption risks, sensitize teams and partners, and lead confidential investigations in case of suspicions.
ARC function leadership (Audit, Risk & Compliance): develop standard operating procedures, manage the technical team, maintain updated files and respond to customer requests headquarters.
Where work creates impact
Its activities will be transversal to all ACF operations in Mozambique, from cash management, purchasing and logistics to human resources and food storage. Will work closely with all ACF staff in country, with headquarters (HQs) in the areas of audit, risk and compliance, and with external partners such as suppliers, donors (BHA, ECHO, WFP, UNICEF, among others) and national working groups. Your ability to ensure the integrity of processes will have a direct impact on the effectiveness of humanitarian programs and the trust of donors.
What profile makes sense
We are looking for a professional with minimum five years of experience in internal control, auditing, risk management, logistics, finance or human resources, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector. It is essential to have:
In-depth knowledge of the project management cycle and project tools;
Excellent written and oral communication in English and Portuguese;
Organization skills, attention to detail and management of multiple tasks;
Property of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word);
Experience with agreements and budget development;
Familiarity with donor rules (BHA, ECHO, WFP, UNICEF, etc.);
Critical thinking, problem-solving skills and sound judgment;
Flexibility and focus in a work environment with constantly changing demands.
