Main Responsibilities and Lines of Action

The Specialist Mechanic will act at the forefront of corrective and preventive maintenance, assuming the following responsibilities:

• Planned Repairs and Reconstruction: Execute with complete autonomy complex processes of disassembly, inspection and assembly of machine components CAT earthmoving, complying with the supplier's guidelines and tolerance standards.

• Advanced Diagnosis: Identify and resolve electronic and mechanical faults in engine and transmission systems quickly and efficiently, minimizing machine downtime.

• Technical Analysis and Reporting: Compile high-precision technical reports, including filling out Engine/Transmission Inspection Reports (MIRS) and Advanced Technical Analysis (TAS) reports.

• Component Management and Assessment: Rigorously evaluate the reusability of parts during component inspections, managing contamination control of oils and fluids in the workshop or in the field.

• Workshop Administration: Manage one's own administrative routine, including scheduling labor, daily service reports, return of parts to stock and travel expense maps.

Candidate Profile and Required Requirements

Academic Qualifications and Knowledge in CAT Systems:

• Education: Completed Technical/Professional Course in the field of Earthmoving Equipment Mechanics, Diesel Engine Mechanics or related areas.

• Factory Software: Advanced and operational knowledge in official Caterpillar digital tools: SIS (Service Information System) and ET (Electronic Technician).

Practical Experience Mandatory:

• Between 4 to 6 years of professional experience consolidated in the repair and reconstruction process of heavy industrial components.

• Minimum of 2 years of specific experience in rebuilding and diagnosing CAT engines and components (construction/mining line).

• Mastery in preparing failure reports (failure analysis) and solid understanding of the supplier's warranty policies, systems and procedures.
