Main Role Responsibilities

The Petroleum Engineer I will play a key technical role in support to production and asset management, assuming the following responsibilities:

• Monitoring and Modeling: Monitor well production, identify deviations from expected behavior, determine matrimonial causes and perform modeling of wells and reservoirs using software such as IPM, CMG, Kappa and Prosper.

• Reservoir Surveillance: Plan, monitor and analyze surveillance activities (such as gradient surveys, PLTs, flow and accumulation tests, isochronous tests, and logging programs) and update Reservoir Management Plans (RMP).

• Fluid Analysis: Participate in PVT fluid sampling, conduct PVT analysis, and perform fluid modeling.

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary reservoir reviews. wells, collaborate with operations, facilities and asset management teams to identify production solutions and work with subsurface experts to ensure calibration of data and models.

• Well Engineering: Support the petroleum and reservoir engineering aspects, with a strong emphasis on completions, artificial lift and well interventions, in addition to preparing planning data for drilling proposals and workover.

• Data Management and SHE: Maintain project databases up to date with historical information, prepare short-term production forecasts and ensure a rigorous focus on Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) across all activities.

Candidate Profile and Admission Requirements

• Qualifications Academic: University Degree (Bachelors Degree) in Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering.

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant experience in the field of activity.

• Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in well modeling (trend analysis, material balance calculations, nodal analysis and pressure/flow transient analysis).

  • Knowledge of well delivery processes (Well Delivery Process) and well integrity management.

  • Ability to optimize processes and technical support for engineering operations.

  • Familiarity with geological exploration and subsurface data integration.

• Personal Skills: Strong ability to collaborate, agile learning (nimble learning), planning, alignment and a high sense of responsibility (accountability). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
