Main Responsibilities and Functions

The selected professional will be responsible for safeguarding the financial health of the organization, being responsible for:

  • Supervision and Planning: Fully coordinate financial planning, preparation and control of budgets (budgeting) and corporate performance reports.

  • Legal Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with the financial regulations in force in Mozambique, as well as the company's internal policies.

  • Operations Management: Manage the daily operations of treasury, accounting and organization's cash flows.

  • Risk Analysis and Controls: Conduct financial risk assessments and design, implement and monitor robust internal financial controls.

  • Strategic Vision: Provide detailed financial insight and strategic projections to guide and support senior leadership decision-making.

  • Articulation Interdepartmental: Actively collaborate with the other departments of the company to ensure the operational efficiency and long-term sustainability of the business.

Profile, Qualifications and Required Requirements

We are looking for professionals with a leadership profile focused on results, strong problem-solving capacity and organizational rigor:

  • Academic Training: Bachelor's degree completed in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related areas.

  • Structural Technical Skills:

    • Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting and analysis of indicators (FP&A).

    • Proficiency in preparing complex financial statements and regulatory compliance reports.

    • Solid knowledge of auditing, market risk assessment and implementation of corporate controls.

    • Advanced familiarity with the use of financial management software, BI tools and ERP systems.

  • Languages and Communication:

    • Fluency in English (mandatory).

    • Proficiency in the Portuguese language is highly desirable.

  • Valuation Factors (Differentiations):

    • Have professional qualifications or certifications recognized as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).

    • Consolidated familiarity with the tax regime and financial regulations of Mozambique.
