On the initiative of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MTL), through the Project Portfolio Coordination Unit (UCP), a recruitment is opened for three (3) Courier Drivers on an individual consultancy basis.
MTL is the ministry responsible for the transport and logistics sector in Mozambique; the UCP coordinates the sector's project portfolio. The recruitment is allocated to the IDA-E0780 Financing Agreement and is intended to provide logistical support to ongoing projects.
The courier driver is the link between the teams and the field projects: drives service vehicles, transports personnel and material, fulfils mission routes and supports the administrative coordination. It is a mobile role, with operational routes across different regions of the country.
The IDA-E0780 Financing Agreement supports the modernisation of the transport sector in Mozambique. The work of the courier drivers keeps the vehicles ready to circulate and the routes on schedule, from Maputo to Nampula, so that teams and materials reach each project on time and in safety.

The profile sought: someone comfortable with mobile, itinerant work, available for frequent travel and to support the project teams in Maputo, Beira and Nampula, and who organises their time and the routes they cover well.
Selection process: MTL first reviews the CVs and documents, then holds a face-to-face interview and concludes with a practical driving test. There are three stages, each filtering the profile before placing the person in the post, to ensure that those selected have the skills for the role and for the region they are applying to.

The contract has an initial duration of 24 months, with a 3-month probationary period and the possibility of renewal. The remuneration is not disclosed: the value is to be agreed by MTL.
