N’weti – a Mozambican non-governmental organization with consolidated operations in the area of ​​community health – is recruiting 73 Field Supervisors to be part of the Community Nutrition Intervention Package, within the scope of the Integrated Nutrition Program (PIN). If you have experience in health supervision at community level, know the socio-cultural context of one of the target provinces and are looking for an opportunity with a real impact on reducing child malnutrition, this position is for you.

We want to find professionals with immediate availability for a 6-month contract, spread across 11 provinces – Maputo (Manhiça and Marracuene), Gaza (Guijá and Massangena), Inhambane (Inhassoro, Vilankulo, Govuro, Panda and Zavala), Sofala (Marromeu and Marínguè), Manica (Guro, Manica, Macossa, Tambara and Mossurize), Tete (Chifunde, Mutarara, Moatize, Marávia, Doa and Zumbo), Zambézia (Morrumbala, Luabo, Molumbo, Mocuba, Pebane, Namacurra and Maganja da Costa), Nampula (Angoche, Mogovolas, Erati, Memba, Mongicual, Monapo, Moma and Liúpo) and Niassa (Ngauma, Mecanhelas, Muembe and Mandimba). Residing in the province of application is mandatory.

What you will do as a Field Supervisor

Your day to day will be focused on ensuring that the PIN's community activities are implemented with quality, rigor and within deadlines. You will work directly with Multipurpose Health Agents (APS), volunteers, health units and district focal points. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Technically supervise APS and volunteers, ensuring that nutritional interventions reach children aged 0 to 2 years;

  • Mobilize the community to join the program through nutrition sites and health units;

  • Plan meetings at nutrition sites, technical group meetings and other program activities;

  • Collaborate with health unit supervisors and district focal points to align the strategy;

  • Monitor the quality of implementation and ensure compliance with the PIN Implementation Guide;

  • Collect, validate and report community data to feed the program monitoring system;

  • Prepare periodic reports and present results to N’weti, SDSMAS and others stakeholders;

  • Carry out monitoring visits to PHC and nutrition sites.

The profile we are looking for

We value candidates with technical training in Nutrition, Preventive Medicine, Nursing, Maternal and Child Health or 12th class complemented by community experience. Essential requirements are:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with communities and grassroots organizations (advantage);

  • Understanding of community health services, especially child nutrition (0-2 years);

  • Knowledge of the sociocultural context of the province and district to which you are applying;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook;

  • Fluency in Portuguese and command of local languages of the district;

  • Licence to drive motorcycles (essential for travel);

  • Residence in the province of application.
