The Manhiça Health Research Center (CISM) is recruiting 15 Enumerators to support the CryptoT&T study, with a focus on tracing, community follow-up, and household follow-up of potential participants. This is an opportunity for professionals with field experience in the health sector, availability to travel, and practical knowledge of the implementation areas.

Main responsibilities

The selected professionals will work directly in the field, ensuring close contact with participants and the smooth running of study activities.

  • Identify and map the households where CryptoT&T study participants live.

  • Represent CISM in field activities with ethics, respect, professionalism, and a sense of responsibility.

  • Carry out household and community visits to previously recruited participants, especially in situations of difficulty in contact or when they are unreachable.

  • Support the safe transport of participants to and from the health facility on the days scheduled for follow-up visits.

  • Ensure the correct use, preservation, and safety of the materials and equipment under your responsibility.

  • Maintain regular communication with the study team, reporting completed activities, constraints, and relevant situations found in the field.

  • Make reminder calls to participants before follow-up visits, clarifying logistical questions and reinforcing the importance of attendance.

Profile requirements

  • Completed secondary education, equivalent to 12th grade.

  • Minimum experience of 1 year.

  • Experience in administering surveys in the health sector.

  • Availability for fieldwork and frequent travel.

  • Knowledge of the geographic area of operation, especially in the peripheral areas of the project’s implementation districts.

  • Ability to interpret and administer informed consent in the local language to participants’ guardians and responsible persons.

  • Ease in using electronic devices for data collection, namely tablet.

  • Strong sense of organization, confidentiality, and teamwork.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety and biosafety in analysis laboratories is an added advantage.

  • Holding a valid driving license, category A1 or A (motorcycle), will be an advantage.

  • Must not have been previously dismissed from CISM for misconduct.
