What the role involves

As an HST Technician, you will be the guardian of safety in day-to-day mining operations. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Implement and monitor occupational health and safety policies, aligned with industry best practices;

  • Conduct periodic inspections and internal audits to identify risks and ensure compliance;

  • Deliver practical HST training to operational teams, promoting a proactive safety culture;

  • Investigate incidents and near misses, preparing detailed reports with improvement recommendations;

  • Ensure compliance with national (Mozambique) and international mining safety standards;

  • Lead awareness campaigns and promote safe behaviors across all site areas.

The ideal profile

We are looking for professionals with a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related fields, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-risk mining or industrial environments. It is essential to have in-depth knowledge of mining safety standards, fluency in English (spoken and written), and strong communication and leadership skills.
