Production Shift Superintendent
Job Purpose
Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility;
Assist in the development of the operations management system;
Participate in the selection and recruitment of personnel for the department;
Act as the control team leader during emergency situations.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for meeting production targets in terms of productivity, efficiency, availability, and output;
Coordinate with the upstream field operator to maintain the necessary feed gas supply to maximize LNG production within FLNG facility capacities;
Participate in monitoring loading activities and manage the activities required for safe and efficient loading of export vessels from FLNG;
Responsible for reviewing and commenting on operational procedures to ensure their correct and safe implementation within the shift operations team;
Prepare shift reports detailing production levels and test results;
Ensure that operational shift positions are always adequately filled by competent personnel;
Coordinate with the maintenance department to execute maintenance activities to minimize facility downtime and ensure the availability and operation of critical equipment;
Participate in defining the scope of work, developing procedures, preparing reports, and executing production shutdown activities;
Promote a positive safety culture through active participation in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety procedures, ensuring their application within the shift team;
Act as the PTW (Permit to Work) Approval Authority and be responsible for safe working conditions on site, in accordance with the PTW procedure;
Conduct emergency drills to test the responsiveness of the system and personnel;
Deliver operational training to shift individuals and small groups in accordance with CAMS;
Perform additional tasks as required by the nature, specifics, and operational needs of the company.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree preferably in Chemical Engineering, Gas Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Sciences from an accredited university;
15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry – at least 10 years of experience in LNG operations, with a minimum of 6 years in a supervisory or management role.
Workplace: Offshore.
