What the role involves
As a Regulatory Risk Officer, you will be responsible for conducting Compliance and regulatory risk assessments across all areas of the institution. This includes preparing detailed reports, identifying findings, and proposing effective corrective action plans.
You will monitor the implementation of recommendations issued by Compliance, Internal Audit, External Audit, and regulatory bodies, ensuring no point remains unresolved. You will also monitor compliance with the requirements of the Bank of Mozambique, GIFIM, and other competent authorities.
You will actively participate in the development, review, and implementation of policies, manuals, procedures, and internal regulations, ensuring they are always up to date with the regulatory universe. Additionally, you will prepare regulatory opinions and compliance analyses for new products, services, campaigns, and commercial initiatives.
Where your work generates impact
Your performance will be crucial to support the implementation and strengthening of the Compliance culture and institutional ethics. You will monitor regulatory risk indicators and develop dashboards and periodic reports for management and internal committees, enabling informed decisions.
Will participate in the preparation of the institutional Risk-Based Assessment (RBA) and coordinate regulatory due diligence processes related to partners, agents, suppliers, and third parties. Will also support inspection processes, audits, and interactions with regulatory entities, identifying, analyzing, and reporting regulatory and conduct risk incidents.
Will ensure continuous monitoring of compliance with financial consumer protection obligations and perform compliance tests and thematic monitoring of critical areas of the institution. To prepare a strong application, use the resume builder and the cover letter to highlight your experience.
What profile makes sense
We are looking for professionals with a degree in Management, Law, Accounting, Finance, or similar areas (preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience is required, preferably in auditing. We value persistence, assessment, and timely response to emergency situations.
Strong knowledge of national legislation and best practices is essential, combined with critical analysis skills, discipline, concentration, and holistic vision.
