Opportunity: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – Community Nutrition (3 Vacancies)

N'weti, a Mozambican non-governmental organization with a strong presence in the area of ​​health and nutrition, is recruiting three Monitoring and Evaluation Officers to integrate its nutritional interventions program in the community. This is a concrete opportunity to contribute to improving the accessibility and coverage of nutrition services in communities and health units, operating in the provinces of Maputo, Nampula and Zambézia. The initial contract is for six months, with immediate availability.

What does an M&A Officer do in this program?

The role is central to ensure that the monitoring and evaluation system works throughout the implementation chain. This means not just collecting data, but transforming it into useful information for decision making. Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and coordinate monthly, provincial and district M&E exercises, aligning tools and indicators with program activities.

  • Ensure data quality from collection to entry into systems (SIN'weti, SISMA, DPI, ICONiQ), monitoring completeness and consistency daily.

  • Lead monthly data analysis and discussion sessions with the District Statistics Center team, promoting a culture of evidence.

  • Carry out technical supervision visits to districts, ensuring at least one visit per district to support Polyvalent Health Agents (APS) and field supervisors.

  • Conduct routine audits quality control (RDQA) bimonthly, identifying deviations and proposing corrections.

  • Manage the logistics of data collection and ensure that the tools reach the districts in a timely manner.

  • Document success stories and good practices, contributing to organizational learning.

  • Prepare narrative reports and performance tables reportto monthly provincial meetings.

Where your work makes real impact

This program focuses on improving community nutrition, especially for children suspected of chronic malnutrition. As an M&E Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that reference and counter-reference data are correctly recorded and reported, allowing interventions to reach those who need them most. Its work directly supports the management of nutritional inputs and evidence-based decision making, both at district and provincial level.

The profile we are looking for

We are looking for professionals with higher education in Statistics, Public Health or Social Sciences, with in-depth knowledge of health statistics. It is essential to have at least 3 years of proven experience in monitoring health programs, preferably in the area of ​​nutrition. We value:

  • residency in the province you are applying for (or availability to reside).
