ActionAid Mozambique Association (AAMoz) is a Mozambican anti-poverty non-governmental organization that has been operating in the country since 1988, promoting social justice, gender equality, and sustainable development.
Under the project “I Am Capable”, the organization intends to recruit 107 community actors (107 facilitators) to work in 18 districts of Zambézia Province.
The objective is to strengthen the implementation of community activities, ensuring the identification, follow-up, and referral of vulnerability cases, especially among girls and youth.
VACANCY: COMMUNITY FACILITATOR
Position Purpose
The facilitator’s main mission will be:
Support the implementation of community activities
Work directly with youth and communities
Ensure the effective functioning of Safe Spaces
Support education and awareness on:
Sexual and reproductive health
Human rights
Prevention of gender-based violence (GBV)
Main Responsibilities
Support the planning and delivery of community sessions
Facilitate educational sessions with youth and communities
Mobilize participants for project activities
Identify at-risk and vulnerable cases
Support the referral of cases to appropriate services
Record data, attendance, and completed activities
Support mentors in Safe Space activities
Participate in community awareness campaigns
Collaborate with community leaders and local institutions
Prepare activity reports
Requirements for Facilitators
Minimum 10th grade completed
At least 2 years of experience in community activities
Minimum age: 25 years
Experience in:
Community mobilization
Working with youth
Social or educational programs
Knowledge of:
Human rights
Community health and education
Good communication skills in Portuguese (local languages are an advantage)
Ability to work in a team
Availability for frequent travel
