The Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center (CCFM) is recruiting an intern to join its Media Library. This is an opportunity for higher education students with an interest in libraries, cultural mediation, publishing, and digital tools who want to gain hands-on experience in public service, collection organization, and the development of activities and resources for different audiences.

Role overview

Under the supervision of the Media Librarian, the intern will support the day-to-day running of the Media Library and take part in cultural and educational engagement initiatives. The role combines visitor support, document organization, activity promotion, and collaboration on projects focused on the Francophone world and the use of digital resources.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the daily management of the Media Library, including space organization, shelving and display of documents, welcoming visitors, and monitoring loans and returns.

  • Help propose, organize, and promote library activities, with particular attention to activities for students enrolled in French courses, in coordination with the Language Space.

  • Take part in outreach initiatives to promote the Media Library to different audiences.

  • Support the creation of the Francophone shelf and contribute to the development of online resources such as podcasts, documentaries, and videos.

  • Design a digital training program accessible to all audiences.

Candidate profile

  • Academic background in Library Science, Publishing, or French as a Foreign Language.

  • Currently enrolled at a higher education institution.

  • No outstanding failed courses.

  • Maximum age of 30 years.

  • General computer skills, including internet, social media, Word, and Excel.

  • Interest in video games and confident use of digital platforms.

  • French proficiency at A2 level, according to the CEFR.

  • Genuine interest in books and publishing.

Timeline and conditions

  • Interviews: 12 to 14 May 2026.
