The opportunities are directed to the province of Nampula, covering the districts of Ribáuè, Mogovolas, Ilha de Moçambique and Meconta, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of families and caregivers at the community level.

Purpose of the Role and What You Will Do

The selected professionals will have the role of facilitating and conducting training sessions with parents and caregivers in local communities. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Session Facilitation: Conduct positive parenting sessions aimed at parents and caregivers, using participatory methodologies suitable for adults.

  • Promotion of Equality: Actively promote discussions, reflections and practices aimed at gender equality in family and community dynamics.

  • Protection and Rights: Support awareness raising on child protection, advocacy for the rights of children and young people, identifying and mitigating risks of violence or exclusion.

Desired Profile and Minimum Requirements

Plan International is looking for community activists and professionals with the following profile:

  • Literary Qualifications: Completed 12th grade of secondary education (requirement mandatory).

  • Practical Experience: Relevant and demonstrated work experience for the role, preferably in facilitation dynamics with an adult audience.

  • Technical Skills: Proven basic knowledge of gender equality and human/child rights.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, easy to speak in audience, empathy and strong teamwork skills.

Work Locations and Application Instructions
