PSI Mozambique is recruiting a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of procurement, logistics, and inventory, with a strong focus on efficiency, compliance, and value for money across the organization’s programmes. This role calls for strong leadership, disciplined execution, and experience working in environments with robust control standards and demanding donor requirements.

Role overview

This professional will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement processes, supporting project needs planning, and ensuring the supply chain operates in a predictable, efficient manner aligned with internal policies and all applicable requirements. This is a high-impact position that directly supports operational continuity, sound resource management, and the quality of programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle procurement processes, including RFQ, RFP, negotiation, contracting, and follow-up.

  • Plan and manage the procurement pipeline for projects, ensuring deadlines, priorities, and visibility of requirements.

  • Oversee logistics, warehousing, and inventory management activities, ensuring control, availability, and traceability.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, organizational procedures, and donor requirements, including USG, UN, and Global Fund.

  • Negotiate with suppliers and identify cost-optimization opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.

  • Develop dashboards and track supply chain performance indicators to support decision-making and improve processes.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or a related field.

  • Between 6 and 8 years of experience in procurement and logistics operations.

  • Experience working with donors and their compliance requirements.

  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

  • Experience in supply chain planning and management.

  • Analytical mindset, strong sense of accountability, and results orientation.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and a good command of English.

  • Strategic profile, with leadership and decision-making capability in demanding environments.
