What you will do

As an Administration Assistant and Receptionist, you will be the face and organization of the office. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Management of reservations and travel logistics: Secure hotel reservations for the team traveling to Gaza and districts, ensuring that everything is ready before departure.

  • Economy administration: Control the storage and conservation of all office assets, strictly following Save the Children standards.

  • Support to reception: Respond to visitors, manage calls and forward correspondence with professionalism.

  • Secretariat tasks: Support with general administrative tasks, such as filing, typing documents and sending mail.

  • Action in emergencies: In the event of a serious humanitarian crisis, you may be called upon to perform functions outside your usual profile, with flexible working hours.

The profile we are looking for

Save the Children values professionals with ethics, responsibility and the ability to work under pressure. For this vacancy, the requirements are:

Training and experience

  • Diploma in Administration, Office Management, Secretarial, Human Resources or related field.

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a similar role.

Technical skills

  • Intermediate English (written and verbal) — proven.

  • Command of the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and Internet).

  • Fluent Portuguese (written and spoken).

Attitudes and values

  • High sense of responsibility and discipline.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Ethical conduct in the exercise of the role.

  • Availability to live in Maputo (constitutes an advantage).

Differentials (desirable)

  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and in team.

  • Proven organization, with skills to plan, set priorities and achieve goals.

  • Commitment to Save the Children's objectives, values and principles, including rights-based approaches.
