What you will do on a daily basis

• Operate cargo vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting goods to designated destinations;

• Loading and unloading cargo in compliance with safety instructions and handling procedures;

• Planning efficient travel routes to ensure on-time delivery to customers;

• Maintaining accurate travel records: mileage, working hours and delivery reports;

• Regularly inspecting vehicles for safety and operation, reporting problems to supervisor;

• Comply with all traffic regulations and safety standards;

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers for efficient coordination of deliveries;

• Handle shipping documents, such as packing slips and receipts, accurately and on time;

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on vehicles;

• Maintain a high standard of customer service, providing information on the status of deliveries and resolving problems professionally.

The profile we are looking for

• Complete general secondary education or equivalent;

• Previous experience as a freight driver or in similar roles (preferred);

• Solid knowledge of traffic regulations and safety standards;

• Ability to operate and maneuver cargo vehicles safely and efficiently;

• Autonomy to work independently and make quick decisions during travel;

• Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers;

• Good physical condition for loading and unloading tasks when necessary;

• Attention to detail to keep records accurate travel and documents;

• Commitment to punctuality and delivery of quality services;

• Availability for varied schedules and compliance with specific deadlines;

• Professional driving license for commercial vehicles (required);

• Residence in Maputo (advantage).
