What does a Cashier do at Letshego?

The professional will be responsible for processing and accurately record all customer banking transactions at the counter, ensuring agile, safe and quality service. Key responsibilities include:

• Process transactions in accordance with the bank's internal controls, policies and procedures;

• Perform daily reconciliation of transactions, ensuring that cash and vault balances are aligned with the system;

• Identify and report counterfeit notes and fraudulent transactions;

• Cross-sell banking products and services, offering solutions suited to each customer's needs;

• Ensure the end-to-end cash process, including rigorous verification of customer identity;

• Maintain absolute confidentiality of all customer information.

Ideal candidate profile

The ideal candidate combines solid academic training with practical skills and a strong customer orientation. Mandatory requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics or equivalent field;

• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail;

• Excellent listening and communication skills;

• Customer service orientation;

• Ability to verify and accurately details;

• Good planning and organization skills;

• Computer knowledge: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

In addition, the ability to mobilize customers and new business, collaborative mentality, availability for interprovincial mobility and high ethical sense is valued.
