World Vision-Moçambique (WV-Moç) is hiring in Quelimane, Zambezia Province. The role is On-site, full-time, and aimed at senior profiles. Review the description below and apply if the fit is clear.

World Vision-Mozambique (WV-Moç) makes public that it intends to recruit for the Province of Zambézia, district of Milange for a period of one (1) year:

  • One (01) Communications Officer, for Milange, Zambézia.

Purpose

The Communications Officer is expected to develop, implement and manage communications strategies to promote the organization's image, engage stakeholders and ensure consistent messaging across internal and external channels. You will be responsible for managing internal and external communications, with a view to maintaining a positive organizational image and ensuring an effective flow of information, contributing to the development and implementation of strategic communications that demonstrate the impact of PARES among the main target audiences. You will also ensure the development and consistent sharing of communication content, from impact stories to content for social media and other creative materials, in coordination with the Communications and Advocacy Manager, as well as the program's communications manager from WVUS.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the areas of media and journalism, public relations, corporate communications and advocacy;

  • Degree in Journalism, Communication Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations or related field;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging;

  • Proficiency in public relations, media relations and digital communication tools, including social media management;

  • Experience in public speaking and/or acting as a spokesperson

  • Prior experience in managing digital platforms, online communications and social media;

  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Qualifications:

  • Competence in developing and reviewing impact stories, production scripts and briefings for the media;

  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;

  • Proven ability to think and strategically plan, manage projects and events, and meet deadlines;

  • Ability to travel and work in the field, as an essential part of the position's duties.

Work environment:

  • Based at the district headquarters, with frequent trips to communities;

  • Occasional trips to other locations.
