GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition), a prestigious international organization focused on human development and food security, has officially announced the opening of a recruitment competition for the position of Head of Operations (HOO) / Operations Directorto lead your national office in Mozambique. This senior executive position, permanently based in the City of Maputo, reports directly to the Country Director (Country Director) and will be an integral part of the Country Management Team (Country Management Team), offering an attractive annual remuneration between USD $59,340 and USD $67,740 gross, depending on demonstrated experience.

Main Responsibilities and Lines of Action
The Head of Operations will assume the central coordination of all the organization's support gears, divided into the following fronts:
Financial and Budget Management: Lead the budgeting processes, projections (forecasting), analytical reporting, cash flow management and oversight of payroll processing (payroll), ensuring compliance with donor and headquarters requirements.
Grants Management and Audit: Coordinate the financial execution of a diverse portfolio of grants from institutional and private donors, ensuring full readiness for external audits and timely submission of reports.
Compliance and Government Relations: Ensure full compliance with Mozambican laws (tax, labor, statutory and NGO registration), managing institutional relationships with ministries and public authorities.
Procurement and Logistics: Supervise the purchasing chain (procurement), contract management, relationship with suppliers, asset inventory and management of physical facilities to ensure maximum efficiency and value for money.
Technological Infrastructure and Security: Monitor office physical security protocols, manage incidents and coordinate with global and local IT service providers to maintain efficient and secure information systems.
Project Development: Support the design of new interventions and the mobilization of resources through the technical design of proposal budgets and financial feasibility analyses.
Team Leadership: Direct, mentor and train the Finance, Administration and Human Resources departments, promoting a culture of high performance and transparency.
Candidate Profile and Required Requirements
Academic Qualifications and Certifications Techniques:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field.
Professional Qualification: Recognized professional accounting qualification (Order of Accountants and Auditors of Mozambique - OCAM, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
Practical Experience and Knowledge (Essential):
Consolidated senior experience in leadership and supervision of finance, administration, compliance, governance and operations in complex environments.
Proven experience in managing programs funded by large international institutional donors (e.g. USAID, European Union, DANIDA, MFA, among others).
History of working within the International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) sector or international development environment.
Languages: Absolute and level fluency business in English and Portuguese languages (written and spoken).
Conditions of Hiring:
The candidate must have the existing legal right to reside and work in Mozambique (GAIN does not sponsor work visas or relocation packages).
