What the role involves
Under the supervision of the Head of Mission and the Head of the Program Support Unit (PSU), the Program Support Associate will be responsible for ensuring effective implementation and oversight of projects across the IOM portfolio in Mozambique. Key responsibilities include:
Support the development of results-based projects, providing technical inputs aligned with IOM and donor requirements.
Perform institutional review of proposals, concept notes and reports, ensuring coherence with IOM global, regional and country strategies.
Maintain an updated database of all projects and programs implemented by IOM Mozambique.
Support knowledge management, including the collection, curation and review of content for the SharePoint platform.
Contribute to the editing, review and translation of texts, ensuring the quality of IOM products and materials.
Facilitate coordination and communication between field teams, Maputo-based units and internal partners and external.
Support training activities for IOM staff on humanitarian systems, internal processes and donor protocols.

This position is crucial to strengthening the quality, consistency and timeliness of internal and external communications and reporting products, including donor reports, briefing materials, operational summaries and program tracking tools. By enhancing program support functions at the Country Office level, the Program Support Associate will directly contribute to informed decision-making, accountability and continuity of IOM programming in emergency and non-emergency contexts.

Degree in Business Administration or related field, with three years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Attention to detail and ability to methodically organize documents.
Discretion, customer orientation and patience, with willingness to learn new things.
Previous experience in international humanitarian organizations, governmental or non-governmental, in a multicultural context, is an advantage.
Experience with the UN operational system is an advantage.
Experience in migration and refugee issues, in the public or private sector, in international organizations or in society civil.
Skills
Knowledge of international organizations and familiarity with the UN common system or similar systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of project development, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and reporting to donors is an advantage.
Languages
Fluency in Portuguese and English (oral and written). Proficiency will be assessed during the selection process, which may include written and oral assessments.
