What the role involves

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the complete management of the Afungi Base warehouse, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. Your mission is to ensure that all storage, receiving, shipping, and inventory control operations are executed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with local and company standards.

Key daily responsibilities include:

• Plan, organize, and supervise all warehouse activities: receiving, storage, issuing, and shipping of materials, equipment, and consumables.

• Implement and maintain a functional layout with clear signage and storage methods that optimize space and productivity.

• Ensure accuracy of stock records through ERP or WMS systems, performing cycle counts, audits, and periodic reconciliations.

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with procurement, transport, and operations teams, ensuring continuous material flow.

• Monitor stock levels and trigger timely replenishment to avoid shortages or excesses.

• Identify and handle obsolete, slow-moving, or damaged materials according to company procedures.

• Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSSE policies, safe handling of hazardous materials, and correct use of PPE.

• Supervise, train, and develop the warehouse team, including storekeepers and forklift operators, managing schedules, tasks, and performance.

• Prepare regular performance, inventory, and KPI reports, and support internal and external audits.

Where the work makes an impact

This position is based at the Afungi Base, Palma District, Cabo Delgado Province, on a B/B rotational schedule (28 days on, 28 days off). The client covers round-trip flights to Afungi, plus transportation, accommodation, and meals on site. It is a remote project environment with extended hours as per operational needs, where your leadership and organizational skills will be tested daily.

What profile makes sense

We are looking for a professional with a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Administration, or a related field, and at least 5 to 8 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in remote or project-based contexts. Proven experience in managing large inventories and teams is essential, along with solid knowledge of QHSE procedures.

We strongly value:

• Experience in the industrial, construction, mining, or oil & gas sectors.

• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems (such as SAP or equivalent).

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability under pressure.

• English proficiency; Portuguese is a significant advantage.
