Africa Global Logistics is recruiting a QHSE Manager for the Mozambique LNG Project (SPS Scope).
The professional will be responsible for the overall management of Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (QHSE) areas, ensuring the effective implementation of systems, policies, and procedures aligned with client requirements and international standards.
Main Responsibilities
Quality
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
Implement the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans.
Manage internal and external audits.
Monitor performance indicators and client satisfaction.
Oversee supplier evaluation and re-evaluation.
Ensure document control and continuous improvement.
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
Develop and implement the project's HSE Management Plan.
Ensure compliance with AGL standards and client requirements.
Assess risks and implement mitigation measures.
Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions.
Monitor inspections, audits, and subcontractor compliance.
Coordinate emergency response and safety campaigns.
Report HSE KPIs to stakeholders.
Security
Develop and implement project security plans.
Assess and mitigate security risks.
Coordinate incident response and interaction with local authorities.
Liaise with the client and security officers.
Community & Local Engagement
Support local content and community development initiatives.
Promote awareness campaigns in health, safety, and environment.
Ensure effective grievance and stakeholder management mechanisms.
Ethics & Compliance (FCPA)
Implement due diligence and business ethics processes on the project.
Ensure compliance with international integrity standards.
Profile
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience in QHSE roles (industrial or technical environment).
Certifications or knowledge in: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001;
Internal auditor training (preferred).
Knowledge of Mozambican HSE legislation and international standards.
Experience with QHSE management systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
Experience in Oil & Gas projects or large industrial projects.
Knowledge of standards such as IATF 16949 and IPC.
Experience in subcontractor management and multinational environments.
