We are looking for a committed and dynamic professional to join our team in Nampula Province, as Project Assistant – Social Protection.

About the Vacancy

In this role, you will be an essential link between our organization, institutional partners, and the communities we serve. You will actively support the implementation of social protection projects aimed at older people, ensuring that activities are carried out with quality, rigor, and real impact on the ground.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and operational support for project implementation in Nampula Province, ensuring compliance with work plans and established targets;
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, meetings, field missions and other project activities, ensuring efficient logistics and effective participation;
  • Collect, compile and manage data, documentation, and progress reports, ensuring the quality and integrity of information;
  • Actively coordinate with government partners, civil society organizations, and Organizations of Older Persons (OPIs) to ensure alignment and synergies;
  • Participate in monitoring activities, field visits, and emergency response activities, contributing to ongoing impact assessment;
  • Integrate and promote gender, inclusion, diversity, and safeguarding approaches in all project activities and processes.

Requirements

Academic Background

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Management, Social Work, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the implementation of social or development projects;
  • Experience working with government institutions and civil society organizations is valued.

Technical and Personal Skills

  • Strong capacity for organization, planning, and time management;
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communication, with experience in drafting technical reports;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Fluency in Portuguese and Macua (required); knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Willingness to frequently travel to districts within Nampula Province.
