1. TITLE

Hiring of consultant(s) or company to support the Fanelo Ya Mina Institute in developing campaigns and communication materials on gender, empathetic masculinities, human rights and social inclusion in the extractive, mining, energy and infrastructure sector.

2. CONTEXT

The consultancy is part of the CNDH-Moz project, Civil Society Action on the Promotion of Citizenship, Business and Human Rights in the Provinces of Cabo Delgado and Nampula which is operationalized through a consortium of four (4) national organizations (CDD, FAMOD, IMD and Fanelo Ya Mina) and two (2) international ones (Oxfam and CARO) with CDD (Center for Democracy and Human Rights) as the proponent.

In pursuing the project's activities and objectives, Fanelo Ya Mina will implement:

  1. Transformative and gender-synchronizing approaches;

  2. Gender dimensions aligned with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs);

  3. Promotion of men's engagement focusing on empathetic, caring and equitable masculinities;

  4. Use of the Gender Equitable Men Scale (GEM SCALE);

  5. Cutting-edge technologies SurveyMonkey (survey software that allows creating and running professional online surveys) and Chatbots;

  6. Implementation of the Equi-Care approach to promote work-life balance;

  7. Adoption of the ESG agenda with social safeguards, including PSEA approaches, sexual harassment, gender-based violence, and redress mechanisms.

3. OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSULTANCY

In this context, interested, qualified, and eligible Individual/Collective Consultants are invited to submit their Expression of Interest.

This provision of graphic design services and contribution to the campaign aims to carry out the following activities:

  1. Layout of ten (10) posters, each illustrating public positioning notes, policy briefs on citizenship rights and gender dimensions, responsibilities and obligations under the social contract, in the extractive industry, mining, and energy services with a focus on human rights, equity and social inclusion, gender and inclusion;

  2. Contributions to the development of videos and radio spots on business, equality, masculinities, equity, and human rights.

4. METHODOLOGY

The consultant should work with the FYM technical team, analyze campaign content, and propose more attractive and effective visual formats, prioritizing the use of the Canva platform.

5. EXPECTED RESULTS

At the end of 3 months, the following should be delivered:

  • Inception Plan with schedule;

  • 10 posters and campaign materials;

  • Three (3) positioning notes and policy briefs laid out and sufficiently attractive to the reader, to be published in Jornal Savana and Notícias, including their electronic versions;

  • TV spots (mini-videos) and radio spots with subtitles.

6. PROVIDER PROFILE

Candidates must have secondary education and experience in graphic design, layout, and social campaigns, proficiency in Canva, and previous experience with FYM will be an advantage.

7. DURATION OF WORK

The provision of services will last for 3 months, with preliminary materials to be submitted within 90 days after contract signing.

8. ELIGIBILITY AND SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Individual consultants or legally constituted collective companies with activities and commitment to providing graphic design, layout, and campaign development services, with proven capacity to deliver similar work, are invited.

Proposals must include both technical and financial components. Proposals must also include corporate documentation and legal governance, and a letter of recommendation, duly signed and stamped, allowing for a clear and informed comparative analysis, and must be submitted only electronically via the following email: [email protected] by 23:59 hours on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
