Hollard Mozambique Seguros is looking for a Human Resources Operations Coordinator to join the HR team in Maputo in a permanent role. This position suits a professional with strong experience in human resources operations, particularly payroll processing, document control, and compliance with legal requirements. The focus will be on ensuring consistent processes, reliable data, and timely execution of critical activities that support the day-to-day running of the function.

Role overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of Human Resources operations, with particular emphasis on payroll accuracy, employee data integrity, and compliance across internal processes. This is a key role in maintaining operational stability within the function, reducing risk, and supporting a well-structured, auditable HR operation aligned with legal and internal requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Run payroll accurately, precisely, and on schedule.

  • Produce variance and exception reports, identifying, analysing, and flagging discrepancies.

  • Ensure the integrity of employee data in HRIS systems and personnel files.

  • Manage onboarding, induction, internal mobility, and employee exit processes.

  • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining records, evidence, and documentation ready for audits and inspections.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in HR processes and the preparation of supporting documentation.

  • Carry out any other duties assigned by Management in line with the needs of the role.

Candidate profile

We are looking for someone organised, methodical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle sensitive information, demanding deadlines, and processes requiring a high level of control. Strong analytical thinking, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to prevent operational failures through reconciliations, validations, and close process follow-up are essential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in HR operations, including relevant payroll processing experience.

  • Experience in meeting legal obligations and preparing documentation for audits and inspections.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Analytical ability and sound judgement for risk control and mitigation.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred qualifications and application
