Role Impact
The Director of the Distance Learning Program will be the primary person responsible for designing, implementing, and managing ADPP Mozambique's online and hybrid education strategy. This position requires an innovative vision and strong leadership skills to ensure that programs meet the highest standards of pedagogical and academic quality, both nationally and internationally.

Detailed Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategic Management
- Lead the implementation and management of the Distance Learning Program, ensuring alignment with the institution's mission and vision.
- Develop and execute the institutional strategy for online and hybrid learning, defining goals and key performance indicators.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of faculty, tutors, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Pedagogical Quality and Innovation
- Oversee the pedagogical and academic quality of programs, ensuring compliance with national and international quality standards in higher education.
- Drive pedagogical innovation and the integration of educational technologies, including platforms such as Moodle, Canvas, and Blackboard.
- Monitor performance indicators and propose continuous improvements to programs, based on data and stakeholder feedback.
Partnerships and Institutional Relations
- Establish and strengthen national and international academic partnerships, expanding ADPP's collaborative network.
- Represent the institution at forums and events related to digital education, contributing to debate and the exchange of best practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a leader with strategic vision, strong decision-making ability, and in-depth knowledge of global trends in digital education. The ideal candidate should have an innovative, ethical, and results-driven profile, with proven experience managing distance learning programs at higher education institutions.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum academic qualification of a Master's degree; a Doctorate will be a significant advantage.
- More than 15 years of proven experience in Distance Learning (E-learning).
- Demonstrated experience in the management or direction of academic distance learning programs.
- Oral and written fluency in Portuguese and English (advanced level).
- Solid knowledge of virtual learning platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or equivalents).
- Experience in team management, strategic planning, and academic quality assurance.
- Resident in the locality of Changalane, Namaacha district, or willingness to relocate.
