Essential Responsibilities and Performance Expectations
The ideal candidate will assume a wide range of responsibilities that require both technical excellence and strong communication and empathy skills. Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Perform complete clinical evaluations, differential diagnoses and personalized treatment plan for male and female urinary tract pathologies.
- Perform and supervise specialized surgical procedures, including minimally invasive urology, always prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Actively collaborate with other internal medical specialties, such as Nephrology and Internal Medicine, to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to the patient.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs for interns and residents, contributing to raising the standard of care in the hospital.
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records, in accordance with current ethical and regulatory standards.
- Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients and their families, explaining procedures, risks and prognoses.
Mandatory Requirements and Candidate Profile
To ensure the continuation of our tradition of excellence, we have established clear requirements that reflect the seriousness and level of responsibility of this position.
- Academic Training: Graduated in Medicine, with completion of a residency in Urology recognized by the Mozambican Medical Council.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable clinical experience in the field of Urology, with preference for experience in reference hospitals.
- Age: Between 35 and 64 years old.
- Language Skills: Fluent command of Portuguese (working language) and English (technical and scientific).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in contemporary surgical techniques, reading imaging exams (ultrasound, urography) and managing complex clinical cases.
- Personal Profile: Unwavering professional ethics, ability to work under pressure, natural leadership and commitment to patient-centered care.
