Food for the Hungry (FH Association) is seeking to recruit one (1) Field Officer for Maringué, Sofala Province.

Food for the Hungry (FH Association) is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that responds to human suffering and works to empower communities living in extreme poverty. We operate across several sectors, including Agriculture, Health, Education, Gender, and Water, guided by Christian principles and committed to high standards of ethics and transparency.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure community dialogues are conducted and facilitated by previously trained facilitators;

  • Carry out field supervision and training visits;

  • Ensure community health structures in the district are trained whenever necessary;

  • Ensure full compliance in the use of funds as defined in the subgrant agreement and internal rules;

  • Mobilize communities to adopt malaria prevention measures;

  • Support data flow across the different components in line with the information flow model defined for the project;

  • Ensure the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports;

  • Carry out small-scale procurement activities in compliance with the procurement department;

  • Conduct joint supervision visits with district-level health partners in line with the established plan;

  • Monitor activities involving teachers, heads of health units, community dialogue facilitators, and community structures.

Requirements:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a genuine Christian commitment to serving those most in need, and full adherence to the Christian principles upheld by FH;

  • Knowledge of social mobilization techniques for behavior change;

  • Skills in training community health volunteers and teachers;

  • Ability to communicate in local languages;

  • Willingness to reside in the district;

  • Understanding of NGO operations is an advantage.
