Health and Safety Assistant Job Opening

África Global Logistics Moçambique, S.A. is hiring a Health and Safety Assistant to strengthen the QHSE Department at its Beira branch. What this role involves

The successful candidate will support the QHSE Manager in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving health and safety processes, helping create a safer, more organized workplace aligned with the company’s internal and legal standards.

• Support the implementation of health and safety system requirements in coordination with General Management.

• Take part in inspections of work areas, materials, and equipment, as well as risk assessments.

• Assist with incident and accident investigations, report preparation, and follow-up on corrective actions.

• Contribute to awareness initiatives, training, and reinforcement of health and safety best practices.

• Organize, update, and maintain documentation and records related to QHSE.

• Support the implementation and monitoring of the waste management plan.

• Track the inspection schedule for firefighting equipment, safety equipment, and emergency response readiness.

• Ensure employees, subcontractors, and visitors receive mandatory HSE induction.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Over 23 years of age.

• Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and professional confidentiality.

• Ability to work well in a team and a proactive attitude.

• Residence in the city or province of Beira will be considered an advantage.
