SLB is recruiting a Human Resources Intern for Maputo. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in human resources within a global company, with direct exposure to recruitment processes, employee development, internal policies, and engagement initiatives.
Role overview
As an HR intern, the successful candidate will support employees and managers on key aspects of the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, employment policies, benefits, career development, performance, and compensation. This is a highly practical learning role designed for someone who wants to understand how a structured organization puts HR policies and processes into action.
Key responsibilities
Support employees through direct interaction, active listening, and feedback collection.
Coordinate information sessions on employment policies and internal procedures.
Support line managers in using HR tools and processes, as well as interpreting and applying policies and programs.
Contribute to employee engagement and motivation initiatives.
Help organize training activities, recruitment efforts, and internal and external initiatives related to the role.
Assist with preparing team-building events and local community initiatives.
Follow up on HR topics and business issues with attention to operational impact.
Take part in continuous improvement initiatives for Human Resources performance.
Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection guidelines, as well as applicable legislation.
Candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related management sciences field.
Up to 2 years after graduation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge to practical solutions.
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and initiative at work.
English proficiency, both spoken and written.
