Save the Children International (SCI) is recruiting 25 stevedores to support logistics operations linked to the Nourish to Learn project, with openings split between Matola (23) and Magude (2). This role is essential to ensure the receipt, handling, loading, and unloading of food products for the project warehouse and beneficiary schools in Maputo Province.

What this role involves

The selected stevedores will handle goods such as 50 kg bags of fortified rice, 50 kg bags of yellow split peas, and boxes of cooking oil weighing approximately 23 kg. The work includes unloading containers into the warehouse in Matola city, as well as loading and unloading trucks and other internal vehicles serving the Magude warehouse and schools covered by the project.

For consistency in pay calculations, the organization states that 2 boxes of oil should be treated as equivalent to 1 bag weighing 50 kg.
