This role requires an active presence in the field, a strategic mind, and a heart dedicated to service.
The Role Challenge: Development Facilitator
The Development Facilitator is a key piece in the architecture of our interventions. Your main responsibility is to manage and cultivate authentic and trusting relationships with our beneficiaries and all stakeholders in the Program Clusters (AP). You will act as a catalyst, empowering communities to identify their own challenges and design their solutions, ensuring that the voice of every individual, especially children and their caregivers, is heard and valued.
This is a dynamic role that requires a deep understanding of the local context and the ability to translate FH's vision into concrete actions. By promoting a clear, equitable, and mutually beneficial exchange of value, the Facilitator ensures that everyone understands the positive impact of our involvement, contributing decisively to the sustainability and success of FH's initiatives.
Your Key Contributions and Responsibilities
As a Development Facilitator, your daily actions will be multifaceted and deeply impactful:
Community Engagement and Mobilization
Facilitate Meaningful Dialogues: Conduct open and respectful conversations with beneficiaries to deeply understand their needs, aspirations, and the daily challenges they face, ensuring that solutions are truly rooted in local realities.
Empower and Mentor: Equip community members with the tools and knowledge necessary to take a leadership role in the direction and implementation of programs, promoting autonomy and empowerment.
Mobilize Active Participation: Encourage and ensure the full and equitable participation of all beneficiaries, with special attention to the most vulnerable, in all phases of the initiatives, fostering a strong sense of belonging and ownership.
Organize Collaborative Efforts: Coordinate diverse stakeholders to work in harmony, ensuring that shared goals are achieved and that the impact of actions is maximized.
Nurture Local Leadership: Support the development and growth of emerging community leaders, empowering them to take ownership of local initiatives and drive systemic transformation from the inside out.
Value Exchange and Inclusion Relationships
Promote Fair Value Exchange: Ensure that relationships and activities are coordinated to make the exchange of value between FH and beneficiaries transparent, equitable, and mutually beneficial.
Ensure Understanding of Impact: Work to ensure that all beneficiaries, with a special focus on children and their caregivers, clearly understand the value and benefits derived from FH's involvement in their communities.
Ensure Full Inclusion: Ensure that the most vulnerable people and communities have inclusive and equitable access and participation in all initiatives, leaving no one behind.
Community-Led Systems Detection and Systemic Solutions
Co-creation of Solutions with Children and Caregivers: Actively facilitate the involvement of children and their caregivers in the solution design process, ensuring their perspectives and needs are met to optimize development and learning outcomes.
Collaboration for Change: Work side-by-side with the AP Manager, program coordinators, and the community to identify and analyze systemic challenges, as well as opportunities for change and innovation.
Culturally Appropriate Interventions: Ensure that all systemic interventions are guided by local realities and are culturally appropriate, respecting the traditions and values of the communities.
Empowering for Sustainability: Empower beneficiaries to take ownership of implemented solutions, fostering the long-term sustainability of initiatives.
Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration
Building and Maintaining Partnerships: Establish and strengthen relationships with local organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders, expanding the reach and impact of programs.
Collaborative Work: Work closely with local partners to align efforts, share resources, and achieve common goals, promoting a spirit of cooperation and mutual support.
Volunteer Management: Manage, supervise, and develop the capacity of program volunteers, ensuring they act in accordance with FH guidelines and contribute effectively.
Programmatic Reporting and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
Rigorous Data Collection: Collect data accurately and in a timely manner to monitor program performance and impact, ensuring information is relevant and reliable.
Use of M&E Systems: Employ the Monitoring and Evaluation system to track progress, identify areas for continuous improvement, and inform strategic decision-making.
