Job Opening – Plumber

ESTALEIRO NAVAL MOÇAMBIQUE, LDA is hiring a Plumber to work on the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and piping systems on vessels and shipyard infrastructure in Maputo. This role requires strong technical expertise, close attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and durability standards.

Role overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of hydraulic and piping networks, carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair work in an industrial and marine environment. This is a strong opportunity for candidates with relevant training and hands-on experience in plumbing or industrial piping.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems on vessels and shipyard infrastructure.

• Interpret technical drawings, plans, and schematics, correctly applying measurements, specifications, and project guidelines.

• Cut, bend, thread, and assemble metal and plastic pipes using hand tools and suitable equipment.

• Carry out pressure and leak-tightness tests, ensuring network safety and technical compliance.

• Identify and fix faults, leaks, and blockages, restoring system functionality quickly and accurately.

• Select piping materials, fittings, and technical solutions based on the requirements of each job.

• Keep the workstation organized and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.

• Follow hygiene and workplace safety standards, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Work in coordination with metalworkers, welders, and other professionals involved in integrated vessel systems.

Candidate profile

• Completed secondary education.

• Training course in plumbing or Industrial Piping A.

• Hands-on knowledge of plumbing system installation and maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Technical precision, strong sense of responsibility, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work well in a team within an operational and industrial environment.
