Job Opening: Professional Driver and Forklift Operator

Servtec SBM is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Professional Driver & Forklift Operator for Maputo. This role is suited to professionals with experience in safe vehicle operation and forklift handling, with a focus on transporting goods, supporting warehouse operations, and strictly following safety procedures. They are looking for candidates with a strong sense of responsibility, disciplined work habits, and availability to work in an organized, execution-driven environment.

Role overview

The professional will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of goods, operating forklifts efficiently, and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. The role requires constant attention to safety, strong time management, compliance with assigned routes and schedules, as well as care for the upkeep of the vehicle and equipment used on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

• Drive vehicles safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with traffic regulations.

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and moving goods.

• Ensure the safe transport of products and their proper storage.

• Load, unload, organize, and support the arrangement of goods in the warehouse.

• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and internal operating procedures.

• Maintain the cleanliness, condition, and basic upkeep of the vehicle and forklift.

• Report irregularities, incidents, or operational needs to supervisors.

• Support other warehouse operational activities whenever necessary.

Profile and requirements

• Proven experience as a driver.

• Valid driver’s license in the category required for the role.

• Valid forklift certificate or operating license.

• Knowledge of local and national routes.

• Basic understanding of preventive vehicle maintenance.

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.

• Responsibility, punctuality, and a professional appearance.

• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate effectively with the team.

• Immediate availability is preferred.

• Training relevant to the role, including a professional driver profile and forklift operation.
