We are recruiting two Health and Nutrition Officers passionate and dedicated, to play a crucial role in our "Nourish to Learn (N2L)" program in the Matutuíne and Manhiça districts. The Transformative Opportunity: Health and Nutrition Officers

As a School Health and Nutrition Officer, your mission will be vital in guiding and supervising the implementation of strategic health and nutrition activities. You will work directly in the field, in the districts of Manhiça, Magude, Matutuíne, and Moamba, covering their respective administrative posts. The main focus is the "Nourish to Learn (N2L)" program, which aims to strengthen students' health and well-being, directly impacting their learning capacity.

This role requires an integrated approach, ensuring that health and nutrition interventions harmonize to significantly improve students' attention, attendance, and overall well-being. Your contribution will be fundamental to literacy outcomes in schools where the program is implemented, building a more promising future for thousands of Mozambican children.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Solid Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field, providing a robust knowledge base for interventions.

  • Relevant Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of proven experience in technical field roles, with a history of direct and effective work with rural communities.

  • Integrity and Transparency: Strong commitment to ethics and responsibility, demonstrating an active stance in combating fraud and mismanagement of resources.

  • Mobility and Autonomy: Possess a motorcycle driving license and proven riding skills, essential for accessing remote areas and ensuring program coverage.

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent abilities to influence, negotiate, and guide teams, partners, and community members, promoting collaboration and engagement.

  • Resilience and Flexibility: Ability to work under pressure and availability for flexible hours, especially in emergency situations, maintaining effectiveness and focus on objectives.

  • Local Knowledge (Advantage): The ability to speak the local language and interact directly with the target group will be a valuable asset, facilitating trust-building and the effectiveness of interventions.

Desirable Skills:
