Junior Accountant Vacancy - Beira

Ship Safe Solutions is expanding its team in the city of Beira and is looking for a Junior Accountant to support the financial, tax, and administrative management of its operations. This opportunity is well suited to someone who already has a solid grasp of core accounting routines, keeps up with Mozambican tax legislation, and wants to join a growing company in a fully on-site role with direct responsibility for meeting statutory obligations.

What this role involves

On a day-to-day basis, the successful candidate will play an active role in keeping the company’s accounting processes organized and accurate. The position requires close attention to documents, entries, and deadlines, with a strong focus on both routine accounting and tax and payroll compliance requirements.

• Maintain accounting records, invoicing, and support the preparation of balance sheets;

• Monitor Mozambican tax legislation, with a focus on VAT, IRPC, and IRPS;

• Process salaries, payroll, and the related INSS submissions;

• Prepare monthly and annual reports to support management;

• Handle licensing processes, renewals, and commercial operating permits.

Beyond carrying out administrative tasks, this position helps ensure legal compliance and the smooth running of the business. The work will have a direct impact on financial control, tax regularity, and the management of procedures with the relevant authorities.

• Administrative procedures with INSS, the Ministry of Labour, the Tax Authority, and the Municipality;

• Support in maintaining organized, up-to-date processes that are ready for audit or inspection.
