The Impact of Your Function: Architecture that Breathes
As a Landscape Architect at Sanlo Moçambique, your role will be strategic and multidimensional. You don't just design gardens; you engineer functional and aesthetically impressive ecosystems that seamlessly integrate construction with the environment. Main Responsibilities and Scope of Activity
Its activities will cover all phases of the life cycle of a landscape project, from concept to maintenance:
Strategic Planning and Development
- Creative and Technical Design: Develop innovative and sustainable landscaping solutions for residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects, ensuring harmony between aesthetics, function and ecology.
- Project Documentation: Prepare preliminary studies, detailed preliminary projects and complete executive projects, including precise technical specifications that clearly guide the work.
- Sustainable Innovation: Actively integrate principles of sustainable architecture, selecting ecological materials and solutions that minimize environmental impact and optimize water resources.
Technical Coordination and Construction Supervision
- Implementation Leadership: Coordinate and directly supervise the execution of landscaping projects on the land, ensuring fidelity to the original project and the high quality of finishes.
- Quality and Schedule Management: Ensure that all activities comply with technical standards, established schedules and the company's highest quality standards.
- Specialized Botanical Selection: Closely monitor the selection, acquisition and planting of plant species, ensuring their suitability to the specific climatic, soil and environmental conditions of Mozambique.
Environmental Management and Legal Compliance
- Environmental Protection: Promote and implement practices that ensure the preservation and enhancement of green spaces throughout the execution of works.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all Mozambican environmental and urban planning legislation, in addition to strict occupational health and safety standards.
Team and Resource Management
- Multidisciplinary Coordination: Effectively lead and coordinate internal technical teams, material suppliers and specialized subcontractors, promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Resource Optimization: Strictly control the use of materials, equipment and labor, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with approved budgets.
Executive Monitoring and Reporting
- Documentation and Analysis: Prepare detailed technical reports on progress, challenges and implemented solutions.
- Strategic Decision Support: Provide Management with reasoned technical opinions and up-to-date information to support decision-making on new projects and maintenance.
The Ideal Candidate: Skills and Requirements
We are looking for an experienced professional, with a solid technical foundation and a leadership mindset. Success in this role requires a unique combination of skills:
Training and Certification Requirements
- Academic: Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a scientifically related field.
- Professional: Valid and active registration with the Ordem dos Arquitetos de Moçambique – this is a non-negotiable requirement to guarantee the legal exercise of the profession.
Proven Experience
- Solid Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in the design, development and management of architectural and landscaping projects.
- Relevant Portfolio: Clear demonstration of previous successful projects, preferably in large-scale or highly technically complex contexts.
Specialized Technical Knowledge
- Deep knowledge in developing integrated architectural and landscape projects.
- Mastery of planning and technical management of green spaces and associated infrastructure.
- Expertise in the selection of native and exotic plant species, as well as efficient irrigation systems.
- Ability to read and critically interpret complex technical drawings.
- Proficiency in modeling and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Lumion (or similar).
- Up-to-date knowledge of the urban planning and environmental legislation in force in Mozambique.
- Advanced command of Microsoft Office for document management and communication.
