Save the Children International (SCI), a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to child welfare, is recruiting one (1) Officer – Supply Chain for the Gaza, specifically in Xai-Xai. Responsibilities include travel planning, preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs and safe driving, always in compliance with SCIMOZ policies and procedures.
In addition, the Officer ensures that procurement services respond to program demands effectively, efficiently and in strict compliance with donor standards and Save the Children in Mozambique. This position is essential to ensuring that field operations run smoothly, allowing the organization to maximize its humanitarian impact.
Qualifications
Degree in Social Sciences, Business Management, Logistics or related field.
Experience and Skills
Essential
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Purchasing, Logistics and Transport.
Valid driving license, without registration, with good driving ability.
Experience in personnel management.
Experience in International NGOs.
Knowledge basic mechanics (required).
Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email and Internet.
Desirable
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Proven organization, with skills to plan, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated and humble individual in dealing with communities, colleagues and partners.
Ethical performance in the performance of the role.
Fluent Portuguese (spoken and written) and basic knowledge of English.
Knowledge of procurement, purchasing, fleet management and administration techniques (advantage).
High sense of responsibility and dedication.
Discretion in processing information confidential.
Ability to work under pressure and availability for extended hours.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-solving ability and initiative.
Courtesy and negotiation skills.
Flexibility under pressure and adapting to change.
Attention to detail and excellence in calculations.
