Opening for Professional Driver & Forklift Operator

Servtec SBM is recruiting, on behalf of one of its clients in Maputo, a Professional Driver & Forklift Operator. This role is suited to professionals with proven experience in vehicle driving and forklift operation, with a strong focus on safety, meeting deadlines, and providing efficient support to logistics and warehouse operations. We are looking for a responsible, punctual candidate who is prepared to work in a demanding operational environment.

Role overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of goods, the proper handling of loads, and support for warehouse routines. The position requires constant attention to traffic regulations, workplace safety standards, and internal procedures, as well as care in maintaining the equipment used on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

• Drive vehicles safely, responsibly, and in line with assigned routes.

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and moving goods.

• Ensure the safe transportation of products while following schedules and operational instructions.

• Load, unload, and organise goods appropriately within the warehouse.

• Maintain the cleanliness, condition, and basic upkeep of the vehicle and forklift.

• Ensure products are stored correctly and support the operational organisation of the space.

• Report irregularities, incidents, or intervention needs to supervisors.

• Strictly comply with safety standards, traffic regulations, and internal operating procedures.

Candidate profile

• Proven experience as a Professional Driver and Forklift Operator.

• Valid driving licence in the category required for the role.

• Valid forklift driving certificate or licence.

• Knowledge of local and national routes.

• Basic knowledge of preventive vehicle maintenance.

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.

• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professional presentation.

• Ability to work under pressure and integrate well within a team.

• Immediate availability will be considered an advantage.
