The Impact of Your Everyday Life
As a Paralegal, your role will be the essential link between the community, health services and the legal framework. You will be responsible for identifying, mediating and resolving situations of rights violations in healthcare establishments, ensuring that citizens, especially the marginalized, have effective access to justice.
Your work will involve:
- Mediation and Conciliation: Acting as a neutral facilitator in extrajudicial conflicts, seeking consensual solutions that respect the rights of all parties.
- Human Rights Education: Promote awareness about HD, Gender and Health issues (including HIV/TB), dismantling myths and combating stigma in communities.
- Community Advocacy: Be the voice of citizens, ensuring that their concerns are heard and treated with seriousness and professionalism.
- Case Management: Monitor and document complex cases, working in partnership with the CCS multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with procedures and well-being of users.
This is a role that requires empathy, courage and a strong capacity for analysis to navigate delicate situations, always with the aim of protecting human dignity.
What We Are Looking For in You
To apply for this vacancy, you do not need to be a trained lawyer, but rather a professional with solid foundations and a passion for public service. Requirements include:
- Have completed at least the 12th year of school.
- Have a demonstratable command of Human Rights and Gender issues.
- Up-to-date knowledge about HIV/TB, including forms of transmission, prevention and treatment.
- Previous experience as a Paralegal, Public Defender Health or in similar mediation and conflict resolution roles.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in Portuguese.
- Reside in the Memba District or its geographical area, with in-depth knowledge of the local reality.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, autonomously and in a team.
Command of the local languages of Nampula is an advantage significant, as it facilitates direct contact with the community and the building of trust essential for the success of your role.
