MyPharma is seeking a Pharmacist to strengthen its team in Maputo, Mozambique. This role is central to the smooth operation of the pharmacy, combining technical customer service, supervision of medication dispensing, and strict control of operations, always in compliance with applicable legislation. We are looking for a profile that combines pharmaceutical knowledge, professional responsibility, and a strong focus on service quality.

Role overview

Working within a pharmacy focused on promoting health and well-being, the professional will play an active role in ensuring credible, safe, and well-structured service. The position requires technical expertise, organizational ability, and close monitoring of the processes that support daily operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the management and operation of the pharmacy in accordance with the legal and regulatory standards of the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Provide customer service with clear, responsible pharmaceutical advice tailored to clients' needs.

  • Supervise and validate the dispensing of medicines, ensuring compliance with current legislation.

  • Manage stock, including procurement, storage, expiry control, and monitoring product availability.

  • Ensure the application of Good Pharmacy Practices and Good Distribution Practices.

  • Prepare and update technical and administrative reports related to pharmacy activities.

  • Monitor developments in the pharmaceutical sector and legal requirements relevant to the role.

Profile and requirements

  • Degree in Pharmacy.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar roles in the health and wellness sector, particularly with supplements, medicines, cosmetics, orthopedic equipment, or medical devices.

  • Solid knowledge of the Medicine Law and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.

  • Experience in evaluating products and suppliers, with attention to quality and legal compliance.

  • Ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts.

  • Good computer skills applied to pharmacy management.

  • Strong organizational skills, analytical rigor, and attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills and ease in dealing with clients and the team.

  • Availability to work rotating 24-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
