Project Assistant at NUNISA, Palma, Cabo Delgado (m/f)

NUNISA Foundation is recruiting a Project Assistant (m/f) to support the delivery of field activities, with a focus on working closely with communities, integrating environmental and social safeguards, and promoting the inclusion of women and young people. This role is well suited to someone with prior experience in community-based projects who is comfortable working in rural settings with regular field presence.

What this role involves

On a day-to-day basis, the selected candidate will support the implementation, monitoring, and coordination of project activities in Palma District, Cabo Delgado, ensuring work is carried out in an organized way, close to communities, and aligned with the project’s objectives.

• Follow up on activity implementation and support strong delivery in the field.

• Strengthen community engagement and mobilization among participating communities.

• Promote the meaningful inclusion of women, youth, and other relevant groups in project activities.

• Ensure compliance with environmental and social safeguards throughout the intervention.

• Collect field data and support the preparation of monitoring reports.

• Between 2 and 3 years of experience in community projects.

• Experience with fieldwork in rural areas.

• Previous exposure to gender issues, environmental and social safeguards, and the Cabo Delgado context will be an advantage.

The role is on-site, based in Palma District, Cabo Delgado, and includes travel to communities. The initial contract is expected to last 6 months, with the possibility of renewal.
