The National Road Safety Observatory (OSR) is a highly prestigious entity that assumes, on a daily basis, the critical mission of protecting lives and transforming the reality of mobility in Mozambique. We are currently looking for nine Provincial Operations Managers (Volunteers) to lead the strategic expansion of our social impact programs.

The Strategic Impact of the Role
As Provincial Operations Manager, you will assume the responsibility of institutionally representing the OSR, acting as the main link between the organization and local dynamics. Your daily work will be directly reflected in the reduction of road accidents and the promotion of a culture of citizenship and respect on the roads.
We expect a broad vision and mobilization capacity from you. It must identify financing opportunities, create synergies with local actors and ensure that provincial goals are achieved with operational excellence. Each project coordinated by you will be a giant step towards a future with safer and more responsible mobility for all Mozambicans.
Provinces with Available Vacancies
We are actively recruiting nine Provincial Managers, focusing on capitals and strategic regions. Positions are open for the following territorial areas, requiring residence in the province of application:
Main Responsibilities and Daily Challenges
Your agenda will be dynamic, requiring adaptability and strong stakeholder management skills. Success in this role is measured by the ability to engage public, private and civil society entities in a common cause: road safety.
Project Coordination and Management
You will have to supervise the implementation of provincial programs, ensuring that resources are optimized and objectives are met. The preparation of detailed provincial reports and rigorous data collection will be fundamental tasks to measure the impact of interventions.
Community Mobilization and Awareness
You must mobilize local volunteers, creating a robust network of support for OSR initiatives. Additionally, it will coordinate road education activities in schools, companies and communities, promoting events that generate lasting behavioral changes in drivers and pedestrians.
Partnerships and Institutional Relations
Establishing cooperative relationships with public, private institutions and NGOs will be essential to amplify the reach of the actions. You will actively identify partnership opportunities, contributing to the sustainability and expansion of safe mobility initiatives in your province.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We look for leaders with an unwavering moral compass and remarkable operational resilience. Mozambican nationality and residence in the candidate province are absolutely essential requirements to ensure in-depth knowledge of local dynamics and regional road realities.
- Academic Training: Completed higher education or university attendance (preferably in social, management or communication areas).
- Professional Experience: Experience in team coordination, volunteering or project management will be considered a strong advantage advantage.
- Technical Skills: Computer knowledge from the user's perspective and ability to prepare reports.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership skills, interpersonal communication, organization and ease of institutional relationships.
- Values: High sense of ethics, responsibility, transparency and social commitment.
