The National Institute for Support to Refugees (INAR, IP), under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior, is opening a public competition to fill a vacancy for Registration Officer, within the scope of the Protection and Mixed Solutions Project for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Mozambique, in partnership with UNHCR.

Vacancy Context
The Registration Officer will be responsible for managing refugee and asylum seeker registration processes, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data. The work will be carried out at the INAR Provincial Delegation, in Nampula, with direct supervision from the management.
This competition is part of the effort to strengthen the humanitarian response capacity in Mozambique, at a time when the flow of refugees in the region requires increased attention.
Mandatory Requirements
- Mozambican nationality;
- Age equal to or over 18 years;
- Mental health and physical capacity compatible with the role;
- Not having been retired or retired;
- Regularized military status;
- High school or higher education qualifications;
- Experience working with refugees and asylum seekers will be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the updated registration of refugees and asylum seekers asylum;
- Organize and maintain physical and digital files;
- Serve the public with empathy and professionalism;
- Collaborate in the preparation of statistical reports;
- Ensure compliance with legal and administrative procedures;
- Support the team in implementing the protection project.

Submission Location: The application for the position of Registration Officer must be delivered to the Provincial Delegation of INAR, IP, located at Rua Daniel Napatima, 1st floor, flat 56, in City of Nampula.
Deadline and Procedures
The application deadline is 30 days from the date of publication of this notice (July 16, 2026), ending on 15 August 2026. Applications after the deadline will not be accepted.
The recruitment process will include documentary evaluation and, for candidates approved at this stage, an interview. The competition is valid for 3 years.
