Servtec SBM is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Senior Accountant & Administrative Supervisor for Pemba, Cabo Delgado Province. This role is suited to professionals with strong accounting and administrative experience who can ensure financial accuracy, tax compliance, and operational support for the business. The position is focused on keeping accounting and administrative processes running effectively, contributing directly to internal organization and the company’s long-term sustainability.

Role overview

The selected professional will play a key role in managing the full accounting cycle and overseeing critical administrative activities. This is an opportunity for someone seeking a hands-on role with real responsibility, interaction with multiple stakeholders, and meaningful impact on the quality of financial reporting and the company’s compliance with legal obligations in Mozambique.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations, namely VAT, IRPC, IRPS, and INSS.

  • Prepare and submit tax returns within the established deadlines.

  • Monitor cash flow and track expense control.

  • Coordinate relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and relevant authorities.

  • Support payroll processes and other administrative routines.

  • Ensure the filing and organization of legal and statutory documentation.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Administration.

  • At least 4 to 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in Mozambican companies.

  • Strong knowledge of Mozambican tax and labor legislation.

  • Experience using accounting software, particularly Accumatica, and strong command of Microsoft Excel.

  • High attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and a practical approach to problem-solving.
