Core Responsibilities and Professional Impact
As Senior Contracts and Claims Engineer, you will be the guardian of contractual integrity and the strategist in risk mitigation. Your responsibilities are multifaceted and high-impact, including:
- Leadership in the Contract Phase: Manage the complete cycle of reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers and subcontractors. This ranges from analyzing clauses in English and French to modeling terms that protect the organization.
- Advanced Claims Management: Takes full control of the management of claims, change orders, variations and contractual notifications, ensuring an unbreakable technical and legal defense.
- Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Use your experience to proactively identify contractual, commercial and operational risks, proposing strategic solutions before they become costly problems.
- Business Capture Support: Provide crucial technical support in the preparation of proposals (bids), participation in competitions and strategic commercial negotiations.
- Insurance and Warranty Review: Analyze and review liability, indemnity and insurance clauses to ensure adequate and advantageous coverage.
- Internal Consulting: Act as a reference consultant for management and operational teams on all contractual issues, translating complex terms into clear action guidelines.
- Resolution Strategy: Develop and implement intelligent strategies for the avoidance and effective resolution of disputes, preserving long-term business relationships.
The Ideal Profile: Experience, Skills and Languages
We are looking for a professional with a robust profile, where practical experience meets a solid academic foundation. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Academic Training: Degree in Engineering, Law, Commercial Management, Business Administration or related field. A master's degree in these areas will be considered a competitive advantage.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 8 years of solid experience in contract management, claims management or commercial management. It is essential to have worked in sectors such as logistics, ports, transport, mining, energy, construction or infrastructure.
