The Impact of Your Role

As a Landscape Architect at Sanlo Moçambique, you will not just be a garden designer, but the strategist behind the green identity of our projects. Your day-to-day life will be dynamic and challenging, involving everything from the initial design of a residential neighborhood to the technical supervision of the final planting in a public infrastructure.

This role offers the autonomy to lead projects from start to finish, working side by side with engineers, urban planners and construction teams. You will have direct responsibility for ensuring that every square meter of green space not only survives, but thrives, reflecting the highest standards of environmental design and engineering.

Main Responsibilities and Challenges

Your responsibilities will be wide-ranging and impactful:

• Strategic and Creative Planning: Design innovative landscape solutions for residential, commercial and institutional projects, from preliminary studies to detailed executive projects and rigorous technical specifications.
• Technical Construction Supervision: Ensure that the landscaping execution is in perfect accordance with the drawings, schedules and quality standards. This includes active supervision of the selection, transport and planting of plant species adapted to the local climate.
• Environmental Sustainability Management: Actively promote solutions that minimize environmental impact and ensure the preservation of existing ecosystems during construction. You will be the guardian of compliance with all environmental and safety legislation.
• Leadership and Coordination: Lead technical teams, negotiate with suppliers of plant material and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring strict compliance with deadlines and the budget defined for each project.
• Documentation and Analysis: Prepare technical progress reports, monitor the performance of green spaces and provide crucial data to Management for strategic decision-making.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior professional, with a profile that combines technical rigor, creative vision and executive leadership. A minimum of 5 years experience in architecture and landscaping projects is essential to ensure that you have the practical knowledge necessary to manage the complexity of our projects.

Technical Requirements and Training

• Academic Training: Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a scientifically related field.
• Mandatory Professional Certification: Valid and active registration with the Ordem dos Arquitetos de Moçambique. This is a non-negotiable requirement that guarantees quality and professional ethics.
• Specialized Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Lumion (or equivalent software), as well as proficiency in MS Office for administrative management.
• Knowledge of the Sector: Strong understanding of Mozambique's specific urban and environmental legislation, ensuring that all projects are in full legal compliance.

Behavioral and Management Skills

• Proven Leadership: Ability to coordinate and motivate multidisciplinary teams in dynamic construction environments.
• Excellent Communication: Ability to articulate complex design and engineering ideas to different audiences, from clients to execution teams.
