What does an ATM Supervisor do at Absa?
As an ATM Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all cashiers automatic systems in your area operate safely, reliably and in a customer-centric manner. Your daily routine includes:
Ensuring high availability of ATMs, maintaining at least 95% uptime.
Managing cash within approved limits, avoiding stockouts or excesses.
Resolving technical failures quickly, minimizing the impact on customers.
Investigate customer complaints and respond within established deadlines.
Coordinate the collection and delivery of retained cards to branches within 72 hours.
Analyze causes of problems and implement effective solutions.
Monitor ATM usage and suggest adjustments to improve performance and reduce costs.

Your performance goes beyond technical maintenance. As a Supervisor, you will have a strategic role in controlling risks and improving the customer experience. Your responsibilities include:
Comply with all internal and regulatory policies, ensuring that the operation is aligned with Absa standards and Mozambican law.
Implement controls to prevent fraud and cash losses, including identifying and reporting suspicious activities (AML).
Perform counts of cash in accordance with regulations and ensure the physical security of valuables.
Keep documentation ready for audits and quickly resolve any issues raised.
Complete all mandatory training and promote a culture of control and risk management.
What profile makes sense for this role?
To be successful as an ATM Supervisor at Absa, it is essential to meet the following requirements:
Education: Higher or National Certificate (Vocational) in Business, Commerce and Management Studies (mandatory).
Experience: Intermediate level, with experience in ATM operations or cash management.
Technical skills: In-depth knowledge of ATM systems and equipment; ability to analyze data and suggest improvements.
Leadership: Experience in managing teams, defining clear objectives, giving feedback and creating a positive work environment.
Organization: Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, from managing suppliers to resolving operational problems.
Languages: Fluency in Portuguese (written and spoken) is mandatory.
